More Traffic To Your Website

If there is no traffic, there would be no internet business. It’s as easy as that. In other words, an internet business can only succeed if there is enough traffic coming to it.

With internet marketing, driving the right Traffic is always what will take most of a webmaster’s time immediately after he or she creates a new website. But what is "right traffic"? In short, right traffic is targeted traffic. If you’ve published a website that is about a subject such as poker for example, you would want to have visitors who are interested in poker. The more your visitors are interested in the topic on which your website is all about, the more it will be possible for you to turn those visitors into paying customers and make some money from them.

How do you get the right traffic for your website?

You should think how to get the right traffic when building your pages. Treat each page as a unique page and try to have in mind what your visitors might be searching for, in order to find your website. Focus on specific topics as you build your Pages. Do this by choosing the right keywords.

Free Traffic
Appearing on the top of search engines results pages is no doubt the best way to get free traffic, this kind of traffic is not only free, it is also of high-quality, sustainable and very targeted. Unfortunately it has become quite difficult to get a good placement in search results, at least for the popular keywords. The keywords have become very competitive and ranking high for a given popular keyword is not a all easy. It needs a great deal of search engine optimization techniques (SEO) and a considerable amount of time to build backlinks to your website.

A good position for you website on search engines would mean that your site is among the first 30 search results and preferably among the first 10 results for the keywords or key phrases you are biding on, i.e. the keywords or keywords your target audience are likely to be typing in search engines when they are searching for your products or services.

Just a very small percentage of search engine users look beyond the 30 first results listed on the result page. Most of them only look at the 1st 10 websites.

The ranking below is an estimate on how much traffic your website could benefit from, depending on its position on the search engines

01. 100%
02. 100%
03. 100%
04. 80%
05. 60%
06. 50%
07. 50%
08. 30%
09. 30%
10. 20%

From the above information, you can quickly understand that your website should be among the first 5 that appear on the search results for your main keywords / search term if you want a good volume of search engine traffic. Anything beyond that would not be good enough since most users don’t look beyond the 10 results.
