Indica Vista

Indica Vista, the revamped version of model of Tata's highly successful hatchback - Indica, was unveiled to the public on 22 August 2008, in the 'City of Dreams' - Mumbai. The brand new Vista is fully packed with all the features available in its previous models, along with some add-ons. With its roomy interiors and attractive exteriors, the compact car grabs all the passing glances. It is best suitable for city roads and perfect for a long trip via highway.
Engine
Tata Indica Vista comes with two engine options - petrol and diesel. The petrol versions of Vista are equipped with 1.2L CVCP Safire engine, which churns out an output of 65 bhp @ 5500 rpm and a torque of 96 Nm at 3000 rpm. On the other hand, the two diesel-driven models of the hatchback are powered by 1.4L turbocharged inter-cooled TDI and 1.3L Quadrajet Common Rail diesel engine. The 1.4L TDI engine delivers a power of 71 bhp @ 4500 rpm and a peak torque of 135 Nm @ 2500 rpm, while the Quadrajet engine generates a power of75 bhp @ 4000 rpm and a torque of 190 Nm @ 1750 rpm. Both petrol and diesel engines of Indica Vista are mated to five-speed transmission.
Design & Interiors
Tata Indica Vista allures everyone with its stunning looks. The new central character line on the hood and the sharp crease lines on the door together add to the overall appeal of the car. The design of the headlights of Vista is a bit different from its previous model, the former being more attractive because of its petal shaped lights. The taillights are even taller than the old model of Indica. The attractive exteriors are perfectly complemented by the roomy interiors, which get dual tone color scheme (a combination of grey and beige). With the positioning of instrument cluster in the center of the dashboard, the driving visibility is improved. The cabin gets storage spaces, positioned at strategic locations. It offers a comfortable ride for five people.
Safety
Tata Indica Vista provides a safe and comfortable ride for its passengers. It also offers a smooth ride, both on city roads as well as highways. In order to enhance the bending stiffness of the vehicle, high-strength steel panels are used.
Variants & Price
The three variants of Tata Indica Vista are Aqua, Terra and Aura, each being powered by three different engines - TDI, Safire and Quadrajet. The hatchback is available in a wide range of dazzling colors, including Cavern Grey, Infinity Black, Noble Blue, Arctic Silver, Solar Orange, Marine Silver and Gala Red. The entry level version of Indica Vista (1.2 L petrol Safire) will have a price tag of Rs. 3.49 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). On the other end of the spectrum will be 1.3L Quadrajet, which will require you to shell out Rs. 4.88 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
